Just when I was getting pumped for the Annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest coming up on the 4th of July, they go and tarnish tradition. Apparently there's a good chance that they will be cutting down the competition from the traditional 12-minute duration to 10 minutes. Supposedly, they are trying to prevent the occurrence of any "reversals of fortune" as it would be bad PR for Nathan's hot dogs. LINKEither way, I'm excited to see the great rematch to see if Kobayashi can regain his title after being defeated last year by Joey Chestnut: 66 to 63 HDBs.
